Comox Valley Citizens on Patrol
Comox Valley Citizens on Patrol Society (CV COPs) recently celebrated its 25th year in the Valley. CV COPs is a not for profit organization where volunteers act as extra eyes and ears for the RCMP to help deter crime in our communities. CV COPS receives funding from the City of Courtenay, Cumberland and Comox as well as ICBC.
Several Macaulay Road and Area Neighbourhood Association members volunteer with CV COPs to help conduct “speed watch” along Macaulay Road and in other areas in our neighbourhood. When speed watches are conducted, volunteers notify our local RCMP Detachment that a speed watch will take place in an identified area and the information gathered is shared with ICBC.
