MRANA’s June 1st BC Trails Day Event

By Catherine Davidson on May 31, 2024May 31, 2024

MRANA’s BC Trails Day June 1st, 2024   Walk, cycle or ride the One Spot Trail North –    Outdoor Recreation Council (ORC) https://www.orcbc.ca/  has marked June 1st as BC Trails Day. MRANA has registered for this event and is planning an organized walk/cycle/ride of the One Spot Trail North from Macaulay Heights Park (3971 Macaulay Road). MRANA was sent two ORC Trail caps for our participant’s draw. MRANA’s new re-usable aluminum water bottles will be available for members or by donation; to be kept for use to  Take the Pledge – Plastic Free July for single-use plastic cups.

Please meet at the park at 1 pm and we will walk from the parking lot onto the One Spot Trail North. This is a 4 km walk/cycle/ride to where the trail dead ends and then return to Macaulay Heights Park for water and snacks.

And, please sign MRANA’s Petition to complete the One Spot Trail North to Hamm Road as a trail connector to other trails in the Black Creek area and for use if required as an emergency evacuation route for residents in the area.     cvrd_one_spot_trail_macaulay_road
