Robinson Lake

A few things I know (which of course mom would know WAY more details) are: Grandpa started mapping out Robinson Lake in winter of 1971. The first machines arrived in April of 1972, by July the site was ready for excavation. Once excavators were finished, and the fountain for aeration was installed (and fish shelters) the drain valve was closed (in September) and the lake was full by December. Martin Park was named for my grandma Helen (Martin was her maiden name). Land was purchased out here by my grandfather first, but the Macaulay’s were the first to settle on theirs so the road was named for them.
